Dual enrollment is a program at MUBT that allows high school students to enroll in college courses using their high school credits prior to graduation. Dual enrollment courses are offered in both traditional and online formats. The difference between dual enrollment and dual credit is that dual enrollment does not fulfill any high school graduation requirements, but dual credit awards college credit. High schools are limited in the classes they can offer for dual credits, whereas dual enrollment is unconstrained. Additionally, dual enrollment courses are open to all high school students and home-schooled children who qualify, whereas dual credit courses are exclusively open to high school students.
Dual enrollment allows our high school students to earn college credit while still enrolled in high school. They will save both time and money by transferring their credits to Michigan University of Business and Technology
Dual enrollment courses are college-level courses taught by professors at the college level. The transition from high school to college is helped by providing students with college-level curriculum
